About Dr. Rajiv Parakh

Dr. Rajiv Parakh is one of India’s pioneering vascular surgeons with over 36 years of clinical and academic experience.

He currently serves as the Chairman of Vascular Surgery at Medanta - The Medicity, Gurugram.

He completed his FRCS (Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons) in the UK and trained extensively in vascular and endovascular surgery overseas.

In 1990, he established India’s first independent Vascular Surgery Department, setting new standards in the field.

He is a founding member of the Vascular Society of India and also of the Endovascular Intervention Society of India.

In 2007, he was appointed as the Secretary of the International Society for Vascular Surgery, based in New York.

Dr. Parakh was instrumental in launching India’s first government-recognized teaching program in vascular surgery under the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
