About Dr. Deepa Gupta

Dr. Deepa Gupta completed her MBBS from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal University, followed by a Master’s in Ophthalmology from Guru Nanak Eye Centre, Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi University. She then underwent three years of advanced super-specialty training as Senior Resident in Cataract, Cornea, and Refractive Surgery at Guru Nanak Eye Centre, Delhi. In addition, she holds a Diplomate of the National Board (DNB) and is a Fellow of the International Council of Ophthalmology (UK).

She has worked for over five years as a consultant in cataract, cornea, and refractive surgery at Centre for Sight. Dr. Gupta has expertise in performing all types of cataract surgeries, particularly stitchless, no-injection phacoemulsification with a wide range of intraocular lens implants. She is also highly skilled in corneal transplants, including advanced lamellar techniques like DALK and DSAEK, as well as refractive procedures such as LASIK, PRK, i-LASIK, SMILE, and implantable contact lenses.

Her special interests include the diagnosis and treatment of keratoconus, with procedures like C3R, INTACS implantation, and contact lens fitting, along with the management of corneal infections, microbial keratitis, dry eye, and ocular surface disorders. She also performs a wide variety of corneal surgeries, including pterygium excision, corneal tattooing, BSK chelation, and repair of corneal perforations or lacerations. In addition, she has proficiency in the use of ophthalmic lasers and glaucoma management.

Dr. Gupta is an active member of the Gurgaon Ophthalmological Society (GOS), Delhi Ophthalmological Society (DOS), and the All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS). She has also presented and published her clinical work at international forums, including the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS)
