About Dr. Surendra Nath Khanna
Dr. Surendra Nath Khanna has performed more than 21,000 successful cardiac surgeries, including complex bypasses, valve repairs, heart transplants, and aortic surgeries. He was trained under Prof. Ottavio Alfieri in Milan, Italy, a world-renowned pioneer in valve repair techniques, and introduced those advanced methods in India. Specialized in minimally invasive cardiac surgery, off-pump CABG (beating heart surgery), and surgical management of patients with poor ventricular function.
Dedicated to advancing heart and lung transplant programs in India with a mission to make world-class cardiac care affordable and accessible to all. Recognized as a mentor, innovator, and leader, he has contributed extensively to academic teaching, surgical training, and advancement of cardiac sciences across India.
