About Dr. Sumit Singh
Dr. Sumit Singh is an AIIMS-trained neurologist and BL Soni Gold Medal Awardee, recognized for his pioneering work in headache medicine and movement disorders. He established India’s first government-sector Headache Clinic at AIIMS in 2002, transforming care for patients with chronic headaches and migraines. He introduced the use of Botulinum toxin therapy for headache management in India and expanded its role to treat trigeminal neuralgia and spasticity disorders.
With strong expertise in Parkinson’s disease and Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS), he is among the few neurologists in the country specializing in advanced neuromodulation therapies. He has over 100 publications in peer-reviewed journals and has contributed 14 book chapters, underlining his role as both a clinician and academic leader in neurology.
