Dr. Priya Ramachandran is a highly accomplished pediatric surgeon with decades of expertise in pediatric surgery and urology, known for her advanced skills and academic achievements. She graduated from Madras Medical College as the Best Outgoing Student of her batch, receiving the Johnstone Gold Medal and several other top honors for her exceptional performance. Following her MBBS, she pursued general surgery training in the United Kingdom, where she was awarded Fellowships from both the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

She further specialized in pediatric surgery at the Institute of Child Health, Chennai, and Children’s National Medical Center, Washington, D.C., USA, and later completed advanced pediatric urology training at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital in the UK. She earned her PhD from Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University in 2007 for her original research on the enteric innervation of the small bowel in children with jejunoileal atresia, establishing her academic standing in pediatric surgical research.
