About Dr. Peeyush Jain

Dr. Peeyush Jain is a distinguished non-invasive cardiologist who also heads the Department of Preventive Cardiology, with a vision to shift heart care from treatment to prevention. He earned his MBBS and MD from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, and pursued a DM in Cardiology from G B Pant Hospital, gaining deep clinical grounding in internal medicine and heart diseases. In 1993, Dr. Jain joined Fortis Escorts Heart Institute to establish the country’s first department dedicated to preventive and rehabilitative cardiology—introducing lifestyle and risk-factor management into mainstream heart care.

A thought leader in his field, he regularly speaks at national and international conferences, and has contributed to medical literature via books and journal articles that bridge clinical cardiology and public health. His leadership spans clinical, academic, and editorial roles—he served as Editor-in-Chief of a journal on heart and diabetes care for a decade and has authored numerous books in regional and international languages.
