About Dr. M.V Padma Srivastava
Dr. M V Padma Srivastava is a highly acclaimed neurologist and academic leader, currently serving as Chairperson of Neurology at Paras Health, Gurugram. Formerly the Head of Neurology and Chief of the Neurosciences Center at AIIMS, New Delhi, she is renowned for pioneering India's hyperacute thrombolysis program for acute ischemic stroke, often referred to as “Code-Red”. Her leadership has shaped national stroke guidelines and registries, and she has played a key role in promoting accessible stroke care across underserved regions.
Her distinguished career includes contributions to Alzheimer’s disease research, stroke registries, and tele-stroke pathway development. She has authored over 300 indexed publications. She received the Padma Shri in 2016 for her exceptional contributions to neurological science.
