About Dr. (Col) S. V. Kotwal
Dr. S. V. Kotwal is a pioneering urologist with four decades of expertise in endo-urology, reconstructive urology, renal transplantation, and pediatric urology. He has successfully performed one of the largest personal series of PCNL (percutaneous nephrolithotomy) in North India, with nearly 4,000 cases, alongside 300+ renal transplants. He is among the first in the Armed Forces to introduce microsurgery, and his contributions to uro-oncology and vascular reconstructions have earned international recognition.
Dr. Kotwal has played a pivotal role as a teacher and mentor, training postgraduates in General Surgery and Urology at reputed universities and serving as an examiner for the National Board of Examinations. He has been invited to deliver lectures and conduct operative workshops across India and abroad, highlighting his commitment to advancing surgical standards.
