About Dr. (Col) Balbir Kalra
Dr. (Col) Balbir Kalra is the Associate Chief of Cardiology (NIC) at Artemis Hospitals, Gurugram, with over three decades of experience in medicine and nearly two decades in cardiology. His medical education includes MBBS and MD (Medicine) from Bhopal University, followed by DM in Cardiology from the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, one of India’s premier medical institutes. He has served the nation in the Armed Forces Medical Services, where he was Head of Department (Cardiology) at Army Base Hospital, New Delhi, managing complex cardiac emergencies and senior government officials.
Dr. Kalra has undergone comprehensive training in Clinical, Non-Invasive, and Invasive Cardiology, with strong expertise in diagnostics, preventive cardiology, and interventional procedures. He has contributed to the field through numerous research publications in journals like the Indian Heart Journal and Applied Journal of Medicine, and has delivered guest lectures across India on contemporary cardiology practices.
