Dr. Ajay Karkra is an accomplished Paediatrician and Neonatologist with more than 29 years of experience in the field of child and newborn healthcare. As the Director of Paediatrics at Max Healthcare, he is known for his unparalleled expertise in managing high-risk newborns and pediatric cardiac conditions. Over the course of his career, Dr. Karkra has treated thousands of critically ill children and has successfully led numerous cases involving preterm and low-birth-weight infants, including the survival of a 660-gram premature baby, a milestone achievement in neonatal medicine.

Before joining Max Healthcare, Dr. Karkra served with distinction as a Specialist Neonatologist under the Ministry of Health, Saudi Arabia, where he was honored for his outstanding contributions to neonatal care. His leadership has helped establish advanced pediatric care systems and NICUs aligned with international standards. A life member of both the IMA and IAP, Dr. Karkra remains committed to improving pediatric outcomes through compassionate, evidence-based care, and continuous medical education.
